An Unsolved Crime in a Mysterious Town: The Girl in the Window Game Review

Hi there! I'm back again with another content, that being another game review, of a game I recently found and finished. Now, let's get into it!

The Girl in the Window is a point and click game developed and published by the Dark Dome. It was released, as in the Play Store, back in November 2019. It weighs around less then 50MB, making it playable in many phones. The size also goes along with the its gameplay which is rather short, but it's indeed rich of qualities that lead me to grow fond of it. Without further ado, let's dive into the game!

The Story

"20 years ago, there was a mysterious murder. The case was never solved and the house was abandoned from that moment on. Villagers claimed to see strange things inside the house."

We will find ourselves as a man who makes his way into a house in some obscure neighborhood. Apparently, the house was no ordinary one, as it is the witness of an unsolved crime, a murder of a girl who lived there. Our character who is enticed by something odd makes his way into the house, but upon entering it, the door suddenly shut, leaving him clueless inside. This turn of event, will lead us to turn the house upside down to find the way out of this place. Inside the house, we'll be met with haunting apparitions of the girl and discover what truly happened back then.

The Gameplay

Like most point and click adventure games, these game relies on puzzles and the plot itself as the main content. The puzzles are fine, in terms of difficulty and creativity, it is to me a good starting point for beginners who want to give the genre a shot. If you happen to stuck in any of the puzzles, worry not, because the hint is available to access through one click of an icon with no ads required. The theme/music for the game blends in just fine, especially in terms how it help making us feel a bit on edge. The visuals/artworks of the game is quite similar to those of the Rusty Lake series, not that its a straight copy of it, but I just find it neat (I just really like the style in short). Another thing worth mentioning is the cutscenes that are played occasionally throughout the game, which is a really good touch!

Overall Thought

The game is one fresh addition to the genre, speaking of the mobile games, as I haven't found any recent point and click games that I found as interesting as this one. The story (especially the twist), the theme, and the visuals really did a good job in composing the game and making an overall legit playing experience. So in the end, I would give the game an 8 out 10 for it! Oh, I almost forgot, this game is part of a bigger world building series from the same developer, I believe it ties in with other games such as the Unwanted Experiment, Nowhere House, and the upcoming Ghost Case game. So be sure to give them all a taste and stay tune for their future installments. As for Dark Dome itself, well done! I really enjoy the game, can't wait for your next coming projects!

Re-coloring the grey spaces: A "Lilac and Her Light" Game Review

Howdy folks! How is it all going? Hopefully good. So I recently managed to set aside some time to complete a game (as if I never have time for it XD), and write a review of it. This time, its going to be a brief review of a game I finished in less than an hour. This is a review of Lilac and Her Light! Lilac and Her Light is a game developed by Npckc and was released back in October 2018. Its a story based pixelated game(one of my favorite types!) or you can say that its an RPG/Role playing games. You can download it through the Play Store or the developer's website (I'll drop the link below later). The game is pretty small, only around 16 Mb, meaning its practically accessible with phones nowadays.  The Story At the start, we will find ourselves playing as a girl, named Lilac, who lives in an extraordinary grey house, in which every house hold items and Lilac herself are also grey. We soon learn that she has an odd condition where everything that made contact with her would los...

Samsara Room Game Review! Another Fine Puzzle!

So I'm back again with another post, sorry for the long break! I had been running into some troubles lately and it took me quite some time to get back into blogging. Today I'm bringing you another game review, the title is Samsara Room! Samsara Room is a game developed by the Rusty Lake, the same company that developed the Rusty Lake and The cube Escape game series! The game was recently released to the wild a few weeks ago, specifically April 29th, 2020, which is a remake of its previous version. This game was released to celebrate Rusty Lake's fifth anniversary! (Way to go guys!!!) With that settled, now let's move on to the game! Storyline So from what I read, the game is set after Rusty Lake: Roots and it follows up the event of William's rebirth. Truth be told, I don't fully understand the full story of the Rusty Lake series, as I haven't played them all. Unlike the Cube Escape series which I have played in sequence. The first thing you notice in...

New Hobby : The Art of Toy Photography

Most people still think that the only thing toy collectors do to their toys is simply as an ornament. A piece that only acts merely for display purposes, but the current stigma is actually wrong! Truth is there are tons of stuff you can do with your toys, the one I'm putting on the menu now is an art called Toy Photography. Toy photography is just another form of photography, but it specifies in using toys as the subject. It can be done both indoor and outdoor, even underwater as long as you have the right equipment. It also uses the same equipment as the usual photography with an exception of the toy's support utilities (Figure stands, dioramas, extra lighting, etc). To me, it's a perfect activity for toy collectors including me as a way to put your toys in action! From many professional toy photographers I know, there are 3 main points of toy photography, they are: 1. Bringing the toys to life Most of the toy shots I've seen are so good they manage to chan...
