In Search of a Cure! A "But You Seem Fine" Game Review

Hey there, folks! Back again with me, the sole writer of this blog. As of today, I'm going to bring yet another game review, in my quest of improving my writing ability. So let's get started!

But you seem fine is a visual novel game that was released back in March 2019. It was developed and published by a group of university students named  KJAM Games, so you can consider it as an indie game. The game doesn't weight much as it only weighs less then 50 MB, so yeah I think it can be played with most phones nowadays. Now let's get right into the game!

The Story

The story revolves around a girl named Rae Kim. At first glance, she may look like any common students at her age, who's days are filled with studying and hanging out with her peers, but they all will change. One day, she wakes up feeling unwell, brushing it off as a mere tiredness, she goes on with her day. Later on, this condition will get worse as time progress, she starts feeling more exhausted to a point where she can't get herself out of the bed. Her life turns upside down, as she spends more and more of her day confined on the bed, away from school and her friends. Her mother, will later give her supports and assist here to search for the cure of her disease. Going to doctor after doctors, her journey begins to find a cure for her condition.

The Gameplay

Like most visual novel games, this game offers us the mechanisms we tend to see, as in choosing choices and clicking through countless textbox, but minus the multiple endings(as you don't really get to choose a meaningful/impactful choices). The visual of this game is simplistic in style which I find fitting to it. The game doesn't take up much time to finish as if you're going to play it all the way to the end, it will only take less then 2 hours. The theme that plays throughout the game sure sounds nice, especially as it blends with certain scenes that I believe are meant to stand out.

Overall Thought

After two days of playing the game, I can say that it was a nice experience playing it. The story, to me, is the main foundation of my liking to it, as I was intrigued by its premise not to mention how the storytelling is later on carried out along with its simple visual and theme. The lack of multiple endings are fine considering that branching out the story may ruin the overall plot by allowing other ends to the story. So all in all, it's an enjoyable game! I would give this game a score of 7/10. Kudos to KJAM Games for developing it and I'm looking forward to see and play more games from you!

Re-coloring the grey spaces: A "Lilac and Her Light" Game Review

Howdy folks! How is it all going? Hopefully good. So I recently managed to set aside some time to complete a game (as if I never have time for it XD), and write a review of it. This time, its going to be a brief review of a game I finished in less than an hour. This is a review of Lilac and Her Light! Lilac and Her Light is a game developed by Npckc and was released back in October 2018. Its a story based pixelated game(one of my favorite types!) or you can say that its an RPG/Role playing games. You can download it through the Play Store or the developer's website (I'll drop the link below later). The game is pretty small, only around 16 Mb, meaning its practically accessible with phones nowadays.  The Story At the start, we will find ourselves playing as a girl, named Lilac, who lives in an extraordinary grey house, in which every house hold items and Lilac herself are also grey. We soon learn that she has an odd condition where everything that made contact with her would los

Working on a Terrific Masterpiece! A Death Palette Game Review

Howdy, folks! It's me again, the author of this lonely blog. these past weeks have been filled with semester breaks, something that I truly enjoy after all the hustle in the 2nd semester. In that break, I have played many games, some of which I'll review and bring here. Now, let's get into one of them, the menu for today will be a review of Death Palette. Enjoy! Death Palette is a puzzle & story based game with horror elements to it. The game was developed by Sleeping museum, an indie developer based in Japan, and was made available in google Play Store in February 2020. The game has been around for some time but it was only starting to get attention after its latest update, one that brought an English translation to it. Hence, allowing more people to experience the game. The game weighs around 50 MB, quite light in my opinion. With its introduction out of the way, let's dive into its parts! The Story The game tells a story of a beginner painter, who was given an un

In Search of a Bird's Family: A Grayland Game Review

Hello and back again with me. Yes, it hasn't been long after my last post and if you're thinking why, the answer is quite simple. As for now, I'm trying to improve my writing, both in terms of quality and as a habit, and I figured that this activity may be a suitable means of doing it(and hey! Another legit reason to play games!). Alright enough with the background, and let's get into this game! Its a game review of none other than Grayland. Grayland is a 2D adventure game developed and published by 1DER Entertainment back in December 2019. This unity powered game is available to play on both pc and mobile experience. This game doesn't take up much space as it only weighs around 50 MB.  Story The game begins with a cutscene showing some hunters who just caught a bird nest, complete with the eggs and the bird. After they left, we will see another bird, previously shot down by the hunters, getting back up and in pursue of its family. Along the way, we will see how mes
