Well hello there fellow gamers and viewers ! just to let you all know that this is my 1st post in this blog, come to think of it i actually never knew that i could make one by myself until my teacher ordered us ( Da studentzzz) to make a blog and put an article in it. So yeah... here goes nothing.
The Last Door is a fantastic game although the graphic is not that good but if you follow the storylines you'll understand that this game is not as bad as you think ! ( well in my opinion i do think so ) This game was developed by the game kitchen on 2013. Believe it or not this game actually earned itself some awards such as top 10 best of 2013 indiegames.com, Etc.
Let's stop discussing the history of this game and let's discuss the storyline !
The first thing we'll see on the screen is you'll see a man in a pretty dark room, there all you got to do is collect all interactable items. After you collect them you'll need to set them up on the chair, each time you set an item there will be some sentences pop up on your screen such as "After all the things i have seen" and it goes on. Finally the character you'll control will end up hang himself up, at first i was all like "LOL.. what the heck"
After that you'll see the intro and then the real story will begin. The first chapter is called " The Letter ". Overall from this point forward you'll play as a guy called Jeremiah Devitt which turned out to be the friend of the guy who hang himself (by the way the guy's name is Anthony Beechworth). Before he commited suicide he send Devitt a mail, well after Devitt got the mail he was surprised and he decided to go there. After Devitt arrived on that house the real gameplay begun. You'll face many riddlers, puzzles, and also a li'l jumpscare. Well the only thing that scared me is the crow since it's the only thing that will scare you. Also after that you find out that Anthony made every one in the house killed themself including his wife 0-0. You will also know that before he died he told everybody in the house to throw away their religious items ( Pretty messed up right ? ).
At the end of the chapter you will found Anthony's body hanging on the attic, you'll also find a letter that told us the main storyline. So it turns out there was an organization consisted of many people one of them was Anthony. The surprising fact is that the organization is very powerful that it's member were all powerful people. Anthony commited suicide since he couldn't take anymore of what the organization had done to people, blindly killed people who stands in their way or rejected their call. The organization was founded by 4 people and believe it or not Devitt used to be a member of it.The organization symbolized itself as a crow, they use the crow to kill or destroy anything they want. Finally after you found his body you'll hear some knocking sounds on the glass and Baam !!! Dozens of crow marched in the attic and eat Anthony's body. ( spooky right ?! )
But that's not all this is just the 1st chapter there are still 3 more to go if you want to finish the 1st season. The 2nd chapter is called " Memories ". The 3rd one is called " The four witnesses ". Finally the last chapter is called " Ancient Shadows ". For me the best chapter is chapter 2 and 3 because the puzzles in it are exciting ! In my opinion although the graphic wasn't good the story lines is awesome and the music/themes make it much better thanks to Carlos Viola. One more thing, the game is set in real locations, and deeply tied to real events, folklore, and local cultures, So it's good since we can learn new things.
