Resorting to Revenge: A Dear Red Game Review

Hey there folks, its me! After days or weeks of the 2nd semester finals, I finally have time to write here again! Although I still have 2 more exams left, and knowing my affinity to games, I surely still have some games that I can review here! So lets get down to it now.

Dear Red is a good old horror RPG games (I actually think that this game was made with an RPG maker) available to be played in mobile phones and PC. The game was developed by Sang Hendrix and was released back in November 2015. it weighs less then 30 MB, so I think it can be played by most phones nowadays. Now, let's get into the game!

The Story

The game tells a story of a woman, named Red, who is shown making her way in a forest. At the start, we will arrive at a house in the middle of the forest. Here, we are told of her motivation, it is revenge that brought her here. Apparently, the occupant of the house is someone she believes to have murdered her mother back when she was little. It took her long to learn the truth and its only after her father's death that she decided to take on this quest of vengeance.  It is in this trip of her, that she would uncover many things, the truth of her past, the murderer's identity, and the validity of her reason.

The Gameplay

Dear Red's gameplay follows the usual horror RPG games, that being point & click mechanic and its multiple endings, minus the puzzles. For the mechanic, we'll be playing the usual touch and interact (point & click) mechanism, where each item you interact with will show a pop up box containing its description. For the multiple ending aspect, this game takes it to a new level. There are a lot of endings to this game, but worry not, to obtain them it won't take too much time as this game is surprisingly quick to complete. Hell, even some ending can be achieved in less the 5 minutes. So yeah, it sure contains a quick playing experience.

Overall Thought

Just like my other opinions on horror RPG games, I really like this game. The premise it has is really good and how they manage to expand the story to a lot of endings is just great! Despite its short playing time, I still find the game enjoyable to play. The theme is fine as far as the game goes and the design (as it follows the typical horror RPG) is fine too. My score for this game is gonna be a 8.5/10. So go head to the play store or Steam to install it and go treat yourself for an excellent game and story. As for Sang Hendrix, keep it up! Can't wait for your next and bigger projects!

Samsara Room Game Review! Another Fine Puzzle!

So I'm back again with another post, sorry for the long break! I had been running into some troubles lately and it took me quite some time to get back into blogging. Today I'm bringing you another game review, the title is Samsara Room! Samsara Room is a game developed by the Rusty Lake, the same company that developed the Rusty Lake and The cube Escape game series! The game was recently released to the wild a few weeks ago, specifically April 29th, 2020, which is a remake of its previous version. This game was released to celebrate Rusty Lake's fifth anniversary! (Way to go guys!!!) With that settled, now let's move on to the game! Storyline So from what I read, the game is set after Rusty Lake: Roots and it follows up the event of William's rebirth. Truth be told, I don't fully understand the full story of the Rusty Lake series, as I haven't played them all. Unlike the Cube Escape series which I have played in sequence. The first thing you notice in...

Working on a Terrific Masterpiece! A Death Palette Game Review

Howdy, folks! It's me again, the author of this lonely blog. these past weeks have been filled with semester breaks, something that I truly enjoy after all the hustle in the 2nd semester. In that break, I have played many games, some of which I'll review and bring here. Now, let's get into one of them, the menu for today will be a review of Death Palette. Enjoy! Death Palette is a puzzle & story based game with horror elements to it. The game was developed by Sleeping museum, an indie developer based in Japan, and was made available in google Play Store in February 2020. The game has been around for some time but it was only starting to get attention after its latest update, one that brought an English translation to it. Hence, allowing more people to experience the game. The game weighs around 50 MB, quite light in my opinion. With its introduction out of the way, let's dive into its parts! The Story The game tells a story of a beginner painter, who was given an un...

Giving company on a long lonely trip! A Terasene-Girl X Sun Game Review

Girl X Sun-Terasene is another developed by the Sleeping Museum, the maker of the Death Palette game. The game is developed with Unity engine and is available to play in mobile through google play store. The games was released back in May 2018, but it has earned more attention recently following another update that translated the game in English, somewhat the same case with Death Palette. The game has been downloaded for over 50.000 times and it weighs around 30 MB, so its indeed a light game for your device. The game can be considered as one of the story based adventure/single player platformer (?) game, although its not that kind of hard/more common action.  The Story It started off with a girl who is taking a walk at night away from a huge castle. What makes it unique is that the girl is carrying an umbrella. We are then told of her condition, that she can't make contact with sunlight as it may harm her, hence the umbrella. But why is she taking an umbrella at night? It's be...
