Atoning One's Guilt: an Alice's Spiritual Judge Game Review

Guess who's finally back! Finally after my 1st semester ended, I managed to find some time to write for this blog and hey, consider it as a way to start off this year with this blog. So here, I'm bringing you another game review, one that was played on my new phone as the previous one (the J4) was broken beyond repair. Without further ado, let's get started!

Yup, the game that's being reviewed now is Alice's Spiritual Judge ! It's a game developed by ESC-APE by SEEL, the same developer of The Prison Boys (a game similar to this and one I really recommend you to play) and it is available now in the Play store. The game was released back in July 13th 2020. Just like its previous projects, this game can be considered as one of the visual novels type. Basically you will be playing within a story/plot while being presented the dialogues and offered the choices for your next course of action.

The Storyline:

In this game, you will be playing as a girl known as Alice Kanuzaki a junior high school student who woke up with no recollections whatsoever in her classroom. Upon waking up we will stumble upon some of her classmates and teachers who are represented as unique figures (cards, queen, rabbits), practically characters from Alice in wonderland. Later, we will be told that her fellow classmate, known as white rabbit, was found dead. Later we will be attending a court, led by Black King, which is run to solve the case and eventually execute (yes to the death) the culprit. Upon arrival to the court we will see that our friend, named the queen of hearts, is declared as the prime suspect of the case and we, even with no memory, steps forward to defend her against the charges. Fortunately, the black king pauses the court to let us /Alice investigate the case further and find the true key to the case. From this point on, we will be assisting Alice in finding leads, recovering her memories, meeting her forgotten friends, and eventually solving the case and encountering the poignant truth to it.

The MC of the game, Alice.

Other aspects:

The soundtracks for this game are really good! It blends in nicely with the story as it progresses and it really supports the immersive feeling to it. The same also goes for the artworks, both for the characters and the overall arts. The game mechanic is also better, because it does not depend on the use of tickets to play each chapter rather on energy, which can be replenished through watching adds and to continue on you can access the next chapters without prior waiting. Unlike what they did with the  Prison Boys, this game only has one ending but that doesn't man the puzzle and challenges in it are easy, it gets so challenging in the trial/court as you have to pull the right evidence and statements to defend yourself or your friend!

So all in all,  can say that this is one fine game! One you should try playing and feel the nuances yourself! For those of you who know, this game also has a similar feel to the Pocket Mirror game, especially in the storyline although it differs at the same time. So head to the play store now and see the game for yourself! That is all from me now, and I will see you again in the next post!

Samsara Room Game Review! Another Fine Puzzle!

So I'm back again with another post, sorry for the long break! I had been running into some troubles lately and it took me quite some time to get back into blogging. Today I'm bringing you another game review, the title is Samsara Room! Samsara Room is a game developed by the Rusty Lake, the same company that developed the Rusty Lake and The cube Escape game series! The game was recently released to the wild a few weeks ago, specifically April 29th, 2020, which is a remake of its previous version. This game was released to celebrate Rusty Lake's fifth anniversary! (Way to go guys!!!) With that settled, now let's move on to the game! Storyline So from what I read, the game is set after Rusty Lake: Roots and it follows up the event of William's rebirth. Truth be told, I don't fully understand the full story of the Rusty Lake series, as I haven't played them all. Unlike the Cube Escape series which I have played in sequence. The first thing you notice in...

Working on a Terrific Masterpiece! A Death Palette Game Review

Howdy, folks! It's me again, the author of this lonely blog. these past weeks have been filled with semester breaks, something that I truly enjoy after all the hustle in the 2nd semester. In that break, I have played many games, some of which I'll review and bring here. Now, let's get into one of them, the menu for today will be a review of Death Palette. Enjoy! Death Palette is a puzzle & story based game with horror elements to it. The game was developed by Sleeping museum, an indie developer based in Japan, and was made available in google Play Store in February 2020. The game has been around for some time but it was only starting to get attention after its latest update, one that brought an English translation to it. Hence, allowing more people to experience the game. The game weighs around 50 MB, quite light in my opinion. With its introduction out of the way, let's dive into its parts! The Story The game tells a story of a beginner painter, who was given an un...

Giving company on a long lonely trip! A Terasene-Girl X Sun Game Review

Girl X Sun-Terasene is another developed by the Sleeping Museum, the maker of the Death Palette game. The game is developed with Unity engine and is available to play in mobile through google play store. The games was released back in May 2018, but it has earned more attention recently following another update that translated the game in English, somewhat the same case with Death Palette. The game has been downloaded for over 50.000 times and it weighs around 30 MB, so its indeed a light game for your device. The game can be considered as one of the story based adventure/single player platformer (?) game, although its not that kind of hard/more common action.  The Story It started off with a girl who is taking a walk at night away from a huge castle. What makes it unique is that the girl is carrying an umbrella. We are then told of her condition, that she can't make contact with sunlight as it may harm her, hence the umbrella. But why is she taking an umbrella at night? It's be...
